Production Worker- Mon-Fri 6am-2:30pm $18.00/hr

You will be responsible for grinding and prepping metal parts for the paint department. This is a heavy industrial environment. You will use hand and power tools to prep the metal components ensuring that all oils, grease, rust and other foreign items are removed from steel and aluminum surfaces.

Responsibilities :

• Paint components and sub-assemblies in accordance with job orders and blueprints.

• Use overhead cranes and fork trucks for material handling and manipulation of product components.

• Coordinate with administration to complete job orders efficiently.

• Maintain a safe and clean work area.

• Remove all visible oil, grease, soil, cutting compounds, and other soluble contaminants from steel and aluminum surfaces.

• Remove all loose mill scale, loose rust, and other detrimental foreign matter from steel surfaces.

• Use overhead cranes, fork trucks, hand carts, and dollies for material handling and manipulation of product components.

• Wear appropriate safety and protective equipment.

Essential Skills :

• Experience with hand tools.

• Comfortable working in a metal shop.

• Background in heavy manufacturing.

• Ability to read a tape measure.

• Experience with grinders, inspection, quality checks.

• Experience in metal prep and painting.

• Comfortable around machinery.

• Metals background is helpful but not required.

• Must have GREAT attendance.
