Our manufacturing client, a leader in the automotive manufacturing industry, is looking for motivated 1st and 3rd Shift Tooling Technicians to join their team for direct hire. Reporting directly to the Mold Tooling Team Leader, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficiency and quality of their production processes. General Job Duties

  • Follow all safety and health policies and procedures to maintain a safe and healthful workplace, reporting any unsafe conditions and accidents promptly.
  • Maintain proper ergonomics while performing tasks.
  • Meet and maintain all customer quality standards and the standards of the company.
  • Perform daily cross-functional job assignments in all areas of the assigned department according to established procedures and work guidance.
  • Participate in and support all lean, continuous improvement programs, initiatives, and activities.
  • Meet or exceed daily production goals as directed by the Maintenance Technical Team Leader and departmental objectives.
  • Clean assigned work areas after task completion, return tools to proper storage, and report any malfunctioning equipment to the Maintenance Technical Team Leader.
  • Record and report all data required to maintain daily production records and submit to the Maintenance Technical Team Leader for data input.
  • Direct all non-conforming parts to the appropriate reprocess area.
  • Maintain proper radio etiquette, using company radios for business purposes only.
  • Be available for overtime as needed according to company policy.
  • Perform tasks per work guidance sheets, Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) procedures, and quality alerts.
  • Participate in a rotating schedule to update the 5S board.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Technical Team Leader.

Educational Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED with a minimum of six years of direct job-related experience, or completion of an Apprenticeship Program.
  • Associate degree in a technical field of study preferred.
