Emergent Holdings Financial Analyst - HYBRID Lansing, MI or Southfield, MI in Lansing, Michigan

SUMMARY: The Financial Analyst is responsible for preparing, reviewing, and interpreting historical financial data, financial projections, and results for the Enterprise. Prepares the monthly and quarterly Financial and Enterprise Services Scorecards. Consults with business units to support business development studies, economic evaluation, and planning functions. Prepares complex presentations, advising management and senior management of various financial models and recommendations. RESPONSIBILITIES/TASKS: * Prepares monthly Financial Scorecards for each operating unit and the consolidated enterprise. * Works in conjunction with operating units and departments to define metrics, drivers and other relevant data. * Prepares quarterly forecast updates and semi-annual long term forecast updates and corresponding analysis. * Prepares ad-hoc or on demand forecasting as requested by senior management. * Responsible for budget or forecast variance analysis and corresponding recommendations or re-forecasts. * Contributes to the Enterprise's specialty budget & reforecast process. * Maintains budget and forecast information. * Evaluates profit and cost efficiencies in various areas of the organization as needed. * Develops, maintains and distributes ad-hoc reports and financial models as needed. * Participates in departmental planning process including vision, objective, goal and profit plan development and monitoring. EDUCATION OR EQUIVALENT EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field or the equivalent in relevant coursework and experience. Continuous learning, as defined by the Company's learning philosophy, is required. Certification or progress toward certification is highly preferred and encouraged. EXPERIENCE: Two years experience in general accounting, finance, or budgeting and planning in a large, growth-oriented company. SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES (SKA): * Knowledge of financial management and forecasting, which includes risk analysis, forecasting basics, financial analysis basics and SVA. * Strong Microsoft Office Suite and Access skills are required. * Strong knowledge and application of forecasting models. * Strong human relations, analytical, problem solving, influencing and decision making skills required. * Excellent project management and leadership skills required. * Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to complete and present reports and presentations. * Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team. WORKING CONDITIONS: Work is performed in an office setting with no unusual hazards. Pay Range Actual compensation decision relies on the consideration of internal equity, candidate's skills and professional experience, geographic location, market and other potential factors. It is not standard practice for an offer to be at or near the top of the range, and therefore a reasonable estimate for this role is between $51,700 and $86,600. We are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
