ESSA Bank & Trust is looking for a Full Time Teller to float between two branches in Upper Darby and Lansdowne, PA. Teller and Customer Service experience is preferred. QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or equivalent with emphasis in a business or accounting curriculum. Moderate reading, writing, and grammar skills; proficient analytical and math skills; proficient communicative and interpersonal relations skills; proficient eye-hand coordination; ability to operate various office machines; ability to lift approximately 20 lbs. of coin; visual and auditory skills.
DUTIES: Responsible for performing a variety of duties to support the paying/receiving function of the community office; identify and act on referral opportunities; respond to inquiries/requests for information.
- Maintain an approved level of cash, i.e. order supply of cash to meet daily needs, count incoming cash and prepare it for shipment; turn in excess and mutilated cash; represent our front-line commitment to meet customer needs with our products and services and translate this commitment into sales opportunities.
- Perform a variety of duties to support the paying/receiving function of which the following are illustrative:

``` 1. Accept deposits of various account types. 2. Cash checks within approved authority and operating policy; verify signatures and check customer balances. 3. Sells Cashier's Checks, negotiable instruments, etc. 4. Accept loan payments and other related payments. 5. Process night deposits and mail deposits. 6. Greet and serve customers in a friendly, courteous manner. 7. Maintain an awareness of new business opportunities with customers; actively refer customers to appropriate customer service personnel. 8. Receive and pay out money; maintain records of money and negotiable instruments involved in various Bank transactions. 9. Prepare daily work for delivery to deposit services area. 10. Prepare daily settlement and proof of cash transactions; balance cash drawer accurately and efficiently on a daily basis, insuring cash is kept within limits as established by Bank policy. 11. Prepare reports relating to the function, i.e. currency transaction, BSA reports, etc. 12. Place holds on accounts for uncollected funds. 13. Count, prove, and package currency and coin. 14. Accept bonds, drafts, checks, coupons and other negotiable instruments for collection, exchange, and distribution of payment.
