Laurel's Loft is looking for a Part Time Sales Associate to work in our boutique style thrift shop supporting the programs and services of Laurel House, a domestic violence agency. The culture of the shop reflects that of the larger organization -- a supportive, collaborative environment of staff and volunteers who are committed to the mission of Laurel House.
Primary Responsibilities will include (but not limited to):
- Excellent customer service and willingness to share the mission of Laurel House with customers
- Cash register/balancing cash drawer at close of shift
- Willing to learn or has knowledge of clothing, shoe and accessory brands
- Receive donations and issue donation receipts
- Sort/tag/steam and stock merchandise
- Keep shop clean and organized
- Internet search experience to look up value of assorted donated items
- Ability to multi-task and work with minimal supervision
- Manage volunteers in the absence of the manager
- Must be able to lift 30lbs unassisted
This position is part-time 20+ hours working Monday, Tuesday Wednesday with flexibility to fill in other days (including Saturdays) as needed. $13/hour
