    Overview of the Role:

    The Digital Advertising Specialist will be responsible for planning and executing all digital advertising campaigns on platforms such as Amazon Advertising, Home Depot Retail Media, Walmart Connect, and Google Advertising. The Digital Advertising Specialist will optimize and monitor campaigns daily and report on their outcomes vs. goal on a monthly, quarterly, and annual cadence.

    The Digital Advertising Specialist will focus on maximizing our advertising to achieve marketing and sales goals while simultaneously optimizing campaigns for the best possible return on investment. Examples of key marketing and sales goals include growing market share, accelerating traffic and sales, and propelling successful new product launches.

    While this position is digitally oriented, there is a requirement to be omnichannel focused and work in close collaboration with other members of the ecommerce team, our brick & mortar teams, and our product marketing teams to ensure our advertising efforts align with company sales and marketing objectives regardless of the sales channel.

    This position will have a significant impact on Woodstream’s sales and marketing efforts.

    Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Plan, execute, and analyze all advertising on Amazon, HomeDepot.com, Walmart.com, and our own sites via Google Advertising, plus any other advertising platforms as assigned.

  • Maintain a detailed record of all initiatives executed and report progress vs. sales and marketing goals.

  • Must analyze sales data and market share using internal and external tools, and then effectively communicate findings to sales/marketing teams to drive actionable advertising outcomes.

  • Gain a deep understating of key customers’ websites and advertising platforms to provide actionable advertising recommendations with the goal of driving account sales growth.

  • Collaborate with both brick-and-mortar sales and marketing teams to develop and execute cohesive omnichannel marketing plans.

  • Assist in the development of proposals, presentations, and recommendations in conjunction with business reviews for key accounts.

    Successful Candidate Profile:

  • Mastery of one of the following platforms (or any other similar platform): Amazon Advertising, Walmart Connect, Home Depot Retail Media, or Google Advertising. We do not expect a candidate to be proficient on all these platforms, but candidates must have strong working knowledge of at least one of them. Skills learned on one platform are transferable to the others. Woodstream will train candidates on platforms new to them.

  • BA or BS in Marketing, Business, or Communications, or related degree required.

  • +2 years experience of digital advertising and marketing is preferred.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills. Must be able to effectively communicate ideas, findings, and recommendations and justify new ideas with cost and return analysis.

  • Well-developed analytical skills.

  • Strong understanding of ecommerce management/merchandising practices, search engine optimization, and online marketing & advertising best practices.

  • Accurate and detail oriented and capable of executing functions efficiently. 

  • Aptitude for problem solving/quick learning. Proactive, intuitive, naturally curious and comfortable with change.

  • Skilled at simultaneously managing multiple projects. 

  • Well-developed skills in Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

  • Positive attitude and high level of energy.
