TEKsystems Customer Service/ Sales Support Specialist in Lakewood, Washington

Job Summary:

The Roofing Customer Service Specialist is responsible for entering customer quotes and sales orders into internal systems. This role oversees the entire process from entering the customer quote through to order placement, delivery, and invoicing. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills, a strong process orientation, and the ability to complete tasks and projects in a timely manner. Flexibility in handling interactions with customers, sales, inner office, and warehouse staff is essential.

Duties & Essential Job Functions:

  • Communicate with customers via phone, email, and text.

  • Execute the day-to-day process for Roofing Quote to Order, Roofing Planning, Production, and Delivery.

  • Ensure all documents associated with customer quotes and orders are received and captured in appropriate systems.

  • Monitor and follow multiple projects at different stages in the process simultaneously.

  • Schedule delivery dates with customers.

  • Facilitate communications with Sales, Production, Delivery, Accounts Receivable, and NCS Credit Lien.

Qualifications:

  • Two or more years of experience in customer service and/or office administration.

  • Strong time-management and people skills, high degree of flexibility, and excellent multitasking ability.

  • Proficiency with office applications and aptitude for learning new software and systems.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of company information.

Required:

  • 2-5 years of work experience in customer service and/or office administration roles.

  • Exceptional attention to detail.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize.

  • Self-starter and driven.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Experience in order production.

  • Strong process orientation and problem-solving skills.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products:

  • Outlook

  • Excel

  • Word

  • PowerPoint

  • Teams (or similar remote meeting application such as Zoom)

  • Capability to learn job-related tasks in CBM systems (Sage ERP and Salesforce).
