Overview: The Shop Technician, Warehouse role is to provide quality assurance and inspect outgoing product (furniture/ appliance/ electronics) for damages or other quality issues
Key Duties & Responsibilities: The Shop Technician, Warehouse responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Inspect outgoing product (furniture) for damages or other quality issues
Perform minor product repairs and/or touch-ups in a timely manner to make ready merchandise for delivery within the assigned schedule
Partner with Conn’s Delivery to help ensure the product is delivered without jeopardizing the repairs and/or adjustments
Perform surface and technical repairs in all aspects of furniture including case goods, upholstery, leather, motion, and bedding products
Knowledgeable of and skilled in the latest furniture and upholstery repair techniques and ensures that Conn’s merchandise (furniture) is in showroom condition upon load-out
Other duties as assigned.
Required Experience
Minimum of 2+ years of experience in furniture repair is required
Must possess a high level of attention to detail
Must be able to work quickly, but thoroughly and accurately as well, to meet deadlines while still maintaining Conn’s exceptional standards of product quality
Must be able to occasionally position self to maintain/move product throughout the facility and be able to remain in a stationary position for long periods of time
Must be able to constantly work in an open/outdoor warehouse environment
High school diploma or GED is required
Preferred Experience
- 2+ years of previous experience in a furniture repair and refurbishing
Skills & Abilities:
Organized and detail-oriented
Able to multi-task and shift priorities, as required
Communicative
Professional in appearance and manner
Can lift 75 lbs. unassisted, and up to 250 lbs. with assistance
Working Conditions:
Must be able to work in a non-climate-controlled warehouse environment and outdoor conditions
May require prolonged periods of standing, walking, and lifting
