As a Senior Quality Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the development, implementation, and maintenance of quality control systems and protocols to ensure the reliability and excellence of our products. Working collaboratively with cross-functional teams, you will devise testing plans, methods, and equipment while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and customer requirements. Your expertise will be essential in identifying and mitigating risks throughout the product development lifecycle, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring operational excellence.

What You Will Do:

  • Develop, modify, and apply quality evaluation and control systems to maintain product reliability.

  • Collaborate with internal teams to establish and enforce quality standards.

  • Devise testing plans, methods, and equipment to ensure product reliability and compliance.

  • Ensure compliance of projects and process control documents with requirements, objectives, and contracts.

  • Utilize and drive Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA), Measurement System Analysis (MSA), and other quality methodologies.

  • Implement proactive quality strategies and recommend corrective actions through root cause analysis.

  • Support work transfer and process change management while ensuring all requirements are met.

  • Design and implement product engineering changes to address quality issues raised by customers.

  • Support the development and maintenance of inspection technologies and methodologies.

  • Lead defect elimination projects and perform investigations.

  • Coordinate Material Review Board activities.

  • Analyze First Pass Yield (FPY) and First Time Through Capability (FTTC).

  • Conduct Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) analysis and containment coordination.

  • Manage Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Functional Test Failure Assessment.

  • Participate in First Article Inspection (FAI) approval and Escape Management procedures.

  • Provide support for engineering projects and Configuration Control Board activities.

  • Collaborate with Integrated Program Teams (IPT) and Corrective Action Boards (CAB).

  • Lead Quality Clinic sessions and participate in Interiors metrics reporting.

  • Implement Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and Capabilities Indexes (CPK) analysis.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience.

  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. RTX will not offer sponsorship for this position.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Quality experience working within the aerospace industry or manufacturing environment.

  • AS9100 experience preferred.

  • Background in quality management.

The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
