Social Worker MSW - PRCS Lacey, WA
SCHEDULE: 1.0 FTE, averaging 40 hours per week. Monday-Friday; 8a-430p PST. NO WEEKENDS.
The Social Worker MSW provides psychosocial assessments, crisis interventions, brief therapeutic interventions, community linkages and supportive services for outpatient cancer clients, families, and support systems. Acts as a contact person for providing information about local, regional and national cancer-related resources. Helps facilitate cancer support groups and coordinates PSPH educational and supportive services, which includes the cancer survivorship programs, new oncology patient orientation, and other Oncology Service Line events. Is a member of the PSPH Cancer Committee.
Required qualifications:
Master's Degree in Counseling or Social Work from an accredited school
Upon hire: Washington Advanced Social Worker License Or
Upon hire: Washington Advanced Social Worker Associate License Or
Upon hire: Washington Clinical Independent Social Worker License Or
Upon hire: Washington Clinical Independent Social Worker Associate License
1 year experience working in Healthcare
Demonstrated clinical experience in individual and family counseling and crisis intervention
Preferred qualifications:
- 3 years experience working with Oncology patients
