The Water Quality Program *within the Department of Ecology is looking to fill a *Nonpoint Project Specialist (Environmental Specialist 4) position. This position is locatedin our *Headquarters Office in* *Lacey, WA.{rel="nofollow"} Upon hire, you must live within a commutable distance from the duty station.

 

In this dynamic role, you will provide project and financial oversight for water quality improvement projects funded statewide through the Water Quality Combined Funding Program. Collaborating with planners, internal regional subject matter experts, and external scientists and implementers, you will address the environmental impacts of nonpoint pollution. You will use your specialized knowledge of riparian and agricultural systems to provide project oversight and work closely with internal and external subject matter experts on nonpoint pollution abatement projects. In collaboration with the Water Quality Section 319 Financial Assistance Planner, you will also provide your comprehensive knowledge of real property acquisitions to aid the program in funding projects focused on nonpoint pollution prevention.
