SUMMARY:
CymSTAR Services LLC is seeking an experienced Software Configuration Management/Data Manager (CM/DM) for the E-4B Aircrew Training System (ATS) Training System Support Center (TSSC). The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing program-level CM plan and associated policies and procedures encompassing software, hardware, and documentation utilizing GIT and Subversion. This position also is responsible for tailoring a given CM/DM process to program requirements. Primary responsibilities are coordinating and supervising configuration and data management activities, configuration identification, control, verification, auditing, and baseline management.
SIGNING BONUS:
A $7,000.00 signing bonus will be paid out in two installments: the first installment will be 70% paid at the time of the employee’s first paycheck; the second installment will be 30% paid upon completion of twelve continuous uninterrupted months of employment. All bonuses are subject to local, state, and federal withholdings. In the event that you leave the company within 18 months of your date of hire, you will be responsible for reimbursing the company for the entire 100% of the signing bonus.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSBILITIES:
Include, but are not limited to the following:
Chair configuration control board review meetings prior to release
Possess a thorough understanding of the functional aspects of software development, testing, quality assurance, and process improvement
Use Git to manage merging multiple simultaneous software updates into a software baseline used for formal testing
Provide expertise and direction in all areas of CM/DM including planning documentation, configuration, change request management, status accounting and reporting
Perform compliance audits for all CM/DM practices for all Configuration Items across training devices, document deficiencies and develop corrective action plans
Responsible for developing and updating the Configuration Management Plan for Concurrency Upgrades, Modifications, and Management processes
Receive, catalog, and maintain Government-provided and CymSTAR-obtained design criteria within a Design Criteria List (DCL)
Receive and distribute hardware and software configured items, drawings, and associated CDRLs
Implement, maintain, and update a configuration management system to effectively support change activity across all system components.
Willingness to work a flexible schedule aligned to program operational needs

DESIRED SKILLS
Extensive knowledge of software version control systems, preferably Git.
Experience preparing software release documentation.
Configuration and Data Management experience with military products and services
Understanding of Data Management process and relationship to CDRLs, SDRLs and Data Rights
Excellent understanding of development, test, integration and release concepts and practices
Experience tracking multiple, simultaneous modifications to aircrew training devices
Ability to perform in an environment with dynamic priorities and varying work tasks
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to include strong computer skills specifically in MS Office products
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with cross functional teams
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
Ability to interpret complex customer requirements and attitudes from verbal, non-verbal, and written communication is desirable

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree in appropriate discipline with a minimum of 4 years’ experience with a demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex non-routine problems. Experience implementing, developing, and documenting CM/DM procedures. Experience with Git and SVN. Experience with both hardware and software CM/DM approaches. Ability to identify and present compliance issues to customer and team
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common professional literature. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to effectively present information to management, and colleagues.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to comprehend and apply basic mathematical skills.
COMPUTER SKILLS:
Solid technology skills are required, including a deep understanding of multiple database technologies, enterprise systems integration, and software evaluation techniques. The ability to translate differing and possibly conflicting customer needs and preferences into design requirements is essential as well as the ability to reverse engineer business processes and tools. The ability to analyze, identify and solve a variety of problems is critical.

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
CITIZENSHIP:
U.S. Citizenship. Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Security Clearance.
OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES:
Experienced and proficient in the use of standard Personal Computer productivity software tools including word processors, spreadsheets, presentation graphics, project management, and databases.
