Hiring Salary Range: $80,068-$120,102

Compensation is determined by a combination of factors, including but not limited to education, work experience, and certifications. The actual offer may vary, reflecting the candidate's unique blend of experience, educational background, and skill level.

PURPOSE: The Compliance Analyst is a key position within our Accounting team, supporting the organization’s financial audit and compliance programs, including regulatory compliance, external funding programs, and tax compliance. This position will play a critical role in developing strategies to maximize external funding for our projects and managing the grant compliance and reporting process for the Finance Division.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  1. Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of finance-related eligibility criteria, application procedures, and compliance obligations for each funding program.

  2. Facilitate all stages of the external funding process, from application to implementation and reporting, as it pertains to the Finance Division (accounting, finance, treasury, supply chain). Coordinate with other departments to gather necessary information for grant applications and reports.

  3. Ensure that all grant applications, reports, and related materials comply with relevant regulations and guidelines.

  4. Monitor the use of grant funds to ensure they are being used appropriately and effectively. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all grant activities. Conduct regular audits and reviews to assess compliance with grant terms and conditions.

  5. Identify potential compliance risks and vulnerabilities associated with external funding activities. Work proactively to mitigate risks through effective controls, process improvements, and corrective actions. Provide guidance and support to internal teams on compliance-related matters.

  6. Stay abreast of changes in regulations and best practices and update internal policies and procedures as necessary. Continuously monitor changes in guidelines, regulations, and reporting requirements. Is a subject matter expert and training resource for other internal stakeholders.

  7. Provide regular updates to senior management on the status of grant applications and funding.

  8. Supports the successful execution of internal and external audits.

  9. Supports regulatory and tax compliance reporting.

  10. Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field with a minimum of 5 years of experience in compliance, management of external funding, or a related field.

Skills:

• Strong knowledge of grant regulations and compliance requirements.

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word.
