Zebra Technologies Asia Pacific is seeking a Manufacturing Strategic Business Development Manager to join the APAC Strategy and Business Development Team. The Manufacturing Strategic Business Development Manager will partner with regional sales leads and sales teams to deepen Zebra’s engagement and accelerate growth in the manufacturing vertical by providing industry expertise and actionable insights based on external and internal data analysis.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide a consultative sales capability centered around customer visits, assessments, and executive briefings for targeted manufacturing accounts to improve win rate and identify up-sell/cross-sell opportunities

  • Be the subject matter expert (SME) and trusted advisor for manufacturing industry information and advice for the sales teams and customers in APAC

  • Lead and execute an actionable strategic growth plan for the manufacturing vertical across APAC which considers sub-regional nuances. The data-driven plan should draw on market trends and insights and outline activities required

  • Maintain relationships with regional manufacturing channel leaders, including hardware and software reselling partners and key influencers

  • Keep up to date with manufacturing trends and developments

  • Be an evangelist, internally and externally, successfully positioning Zebra as a thought leader in the industry, and r epresent Zebra in regional events as needed

  • Provide inputs to the Regional Product Management team to guide product development

  • Carry out other responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from a reputable university

  • Preferably 5-10 years of relevant work experience with subject matter expertise in the manufacturing industry (i.e. trends, workflows/processes, pain points); work experience in the manufacturing industry is a plus

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to engage internal and external stakeholders; client-facing experience is a plus

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Effective presentation and communication skills

  • Fluency in English and Mandarin; additional languages are a plus

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (including PowerPoint, Excel & Word)

  • Travel required on a business-need basis
