BorgWarner Inc. Systems Test Engineer in Kokomo Technical Center, Indiana

DUTIES: BorgWarner Noblesville LLC seeks a Systems Test Engineer based out of our location at 2151 E LINCOLN ROAD, Kokomo, Indiana 46902. Note, this is a hybrid position whereby the employee will work both from home and from the aforementioned office address. Hence, the employee must live within a reasonable commuting distance of the aforementioned office address. Note, this position does not require travel. Responsibilities include developing system qualification test strategy; analyzing system-level requirements and creating mature, robust test specifications; performing Systems qualification testing and preparing result; supporting customer interface for any System qualification issues along with System Test Lead; participating in Peer Reviews of System Integration & Qualification Strategy and Test Specification; interfacing and supporting System Integration Engineers and Test Automation Engineers; participating in Test Spec Defect Process; creating/maintaining Defect Tracking Process across all the projects; ensuring process adherence across all the PDS projects against ASPICE Levels; supporting any Audits on the Project for all levels of testing; supporting Bench definition/configuration required for Testing; and helping train new hire engineers to the team.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Automotive Engineering and 36 months of experience in the job offered or related systems engineer or software test engineer role. Experience must include: experience working with high voltage safety standards and procedures; experience writing Test specification on Requirements as well as Designs; experience using different Type of Test Generation Methodology; experience executing tests on different test environments, including Vehicle, Dyne, HV Bench, and HIL; experience working with DSpace/NI/CAN Tool, including CANstress and CANoe; experience using Defect Tracking Process Tools; experience working with ASPICE adherence requirements and Test Levels; experience working with ALM/PLM requirement management Tools.
