Job Functions / Responsibilities Participate in the design and development of heavy-duty truck suspensions within the Core Suspension group.Manage suspension-related projects "cradle-to-grave" for areas of the truck including front and rear suspensions, axles, brakes, outer-ends, power steering, fifth wheels, and end-of-frame. Complete work related to Requests for Engineering Information (REIs), regulation changes, Plant Liaison Requests (PLRs), field service, and OAR support. Gain and breadth of knowledge in the project release process by working with internal and external organizations. Utilize Creo to create optimized parts and assemblies of complex designs. Work with internal and external organizations to validate the designs. Work through the Product Creation Process utilizing Tollgate to manage projects and report updates, and put Six Sigma skills to use regularly. Qualifications & Skills BSME required; Masters degree in business or engineering and P.E. certificate preferred 0-1 years of experience in the specification and design of complex automotive components or related experience required; proficiency using Creo or other solids modeling software preferred Past experience working onsite at a PACCAR facility preferred Competence in the use of personal computer software such as word processing, database, and spreadsheets Familiarity with project management methods and tools Candidate should be willing to make use of engineering processes and techniques and be resourceful in solving complex technical problems Requires independent judgment and effective project management Ability to manage costs, time and resources; strong communication skills.
