Overview : Aerotek is currently hiring A&P Mechanics in Kinston, NC on a contract to hire basis to work at a Charter Jet / MRO company. This is a long term job opportunity with a growing company in a stable, family friendly work environment.
Pay Rate : $36.00 - $48.00 an hour (based on experience)
Terms : 6-month Contract to Hire
Shifts : Must be flexible, primarily Weekend Shift to start.
Job Description
A&P Mechanics will perform repairs and scheduled maintenance on Cessna Citation Gulfstream Aircraft, as well as perform inspections as required by the FAA. Duties include performing typical line and scheduled maintenance tasks such as RII items.100-hour inspections, hangar maintenance, removing and replacing parts, pre-flight inspections, post flight inspections, etc. Additionally, A&P Mechanics may be tasked with working in Part 145 MRO environments performing heavy maintenance on customer aircraft.
Work Environment
Will be working in both a hangar and flight line environment. Shifts will range from 8 - 10 hours based on workload. We hiring primarily for weekend shift. Weekend Day Shift is from 5:00 AM – 5:30 PM, and Weekend Night Shift is from 5:00 PM – 5:30 AM, with a night shift differential of $ 4.00/hour . The schedule follows a 4-3-3-4 pattern, alternating between Thursday - Sunday one week and Friday - Sunday the next.

Responsibilities
Perform regular maintenance on aircraft.
Inspect and examine engines, wings, propellers, tails, and other parts to identify cracks, corrosion, or other defects.
Inspect hoses and lubricate joints; replace any that show signs of needing repair.
Install new parts to replace or repair defective or recalled parts or to enhance the performance of the aircraft.
Repair sheet metal as needed.
Ensure proper function of engines and operating systems via a variety of tests and tools.
Position Requirements:
MUST HAVE FAA A&P License
MUST HAVE Tools and Tool Box
Must have at least 4+ years of Aircraft Maintenance Experience
Prior experience with Corridor and Business Corporate Jets preferred.
Ideal candidates will have Cessna Citation or Gulfstream experience, but any corporate aircraft experience will be considered.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $36.00 - $48.00/hr.
