Details: Job Title: Senior Buyer Location: Kent, WA 98030 Merritt Island, FL 32952 Fully Remote may be an option as well Pay Rate: $37.00-55.00 per hour Shift: 1st (PDT) Ideally onsite in WA or FL, but we will consider strong candidates for fully remote Position Overview: Belcan Engineering is seeking an experienced Senior Buyer to join our team remotely. Your expertise in procurement will support our mission to enable millions to live and work in space, thereby benefiting Earth. Senior Buyer Job duties: * Serve as POC for creating RFQ"s, sourcing, evaluations frameworks, negotiation, contracting to support end-to-end procurement process. * Prepare and issue RFP/ RFQs; evaluating based on offering of of quality, cost, delivery, or other criteria and recommends suppliers that are best suited to meet the business unit requirements. * Serve as liaison between Finance and leadership stakeholders on procurement metrics and spend tracking. * Construct various contracting types for major procurement activities to meet the requirements of the programs and needs of the business to include negotiation of T"s & C"s, LTA"s, strategic sourcing, continuous improvement initiatives, and identification of opportunities for enhanced efficiencies. Core Qualifications: *Bachelor's or Masters degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering or other relevant field *5 or more years of experience as a buyer and/or planner in a manufacturing setting, preferably within the aerospace or defense industry. *Proficient in interpreting and applying relevant policies and regulations, such as FAR, DFAR, and SOX Compliance. *Demonstrated analytical abilities with a data-driven approach, including setting and tracking key program metrics. *Must be legally authorized to work in the United States, with US citizenship required due to the sensitive nature of the work. Desired Skills: * Exposure to 1 or more of following commodities required: avionics (cabling, wire harnesses), valves/regulators/manifolds/fluid systems, pressure vessels, composites, machined parts, and tooling. * Ability to read blueprints *Strong proficiency in purchasing systems and technical knowledge of procurement and sourcing. *Familiarity with AS9100 quality management standards. *Professional certifications such as Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) or Project Management Professional (PMP). *Active DOD Secret Security Clearance or Special Access is a plus.
