Job Description

We are looking for an Environmental Technician to join our team based in South Miami. The selected candidate will be trained and mentored in various field responsibilities. Key responsibilities will include soil management oversite, well installation oversite, soil/groundwater sampling, operation & maintenance of remediation systems, and other environmental field related tasks. You will have the opportunity to support a variety of environmental projects, including land redevelopment, electric utility, remediation, chemical/petroleum spill projects, and municipal solid waste landfill projects. Duties also include site reconnaissance surveying using GIS software and hand-held devices, overseeing monitoring well installation, conducting groundwater sampling, overseeing the advancement of soil borings, collecting soil samples, conducting air monitoring, maintaining mechanical field equipment, performing construction quality assurance, preparing field notes and environmental sampling log documentation, and performing equipment calibrations.

Hard Skills

• Bachelors degree in environmental science or similar degree

• Experience with GIS software and hand-held devices

• Experience in soil and groundwater sampling

• Knowledge of equipment calibration

• Experience with environmental projects

Soft Skills

• Ability to oversee and manage tasks

• Ability to prepare field notes and documentation

• Good communication skills

• Attention to detail
