SCHOOL DIST 7 CO BUFFALO KHS Athletics and Activities Bookkeeper in Kearney, Nebraska

Position will start on July 22, 2024

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Education: Associate degree or equivalent from an accredited 2 yr college or tech school preferred.
  2. Possesses strong secretarial, financial, organizational, and accuracy skills.
  3. Strong computer skills.
  4. Excellent oral and written communication skills.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: (Include, but are not limited to)

  1. Obtain a working knowledge of all District policies and procedures related to cash handling and online payments
  2. Ensures that accounting procedures as established by the district are followed and maintains financial records according to required retention schedules
  3. Prepares activity and athletic ticket and concession boxes
  4. Completes the 3rdcount of cash collected in all money boxes
  5. Receive, process, code and enter into SIS, purchase orders, fines and fees for KHS Athletics, Activities and CTSO programs
  6. Prepares deposit slips and takes deposits to the bank
  7. Management of online processing of credit/debit card payments and reconciliation of all related accounts
  8. Enters deposit information into SIS and sends all supporting documentation to KPS Accounts Payable office. Accounts Payable office will verify deposit and post
  9. Serves as Activity sponsor and Career Technical Student Organizations (CTSO) sponsor liaison to support them in the creation of purchase orders, verification of receipt of supplies against purchase orders, processes invoices for payment approval, collects cash when applicable and enters deposit
  10. Assist A.D. with corporate sponsorship initiative including the solicitation and collection of funds from Bearcat Vision partners
  11. Assist A.D. with the financial management of BSN/Nike School Stores - School-Wide and Sport by Sport
  12. Collection of entry fees for athletics and activity events, prepares deposit slips and takes to the bank
  13. Performs other duties as assigned
