Siemens Digital Industries Software is seeking Global Environmental Protection Expert to join our People & Organization (P&O) team.

About the role

As a Global Environmental Protection Expert, you will supports Siemens Global Digital Industries Software EHS organization by implementing an effective Global Environmental Management System for the Business focusing on global processes, defining product- and business-specific Environmental requirements and standards. This opportunity will allow you to take part in the continuous improvement and execution of Siemens Digital Industries Software Sustainability Strategy, focusing on global environmental governance and strategy implementation in the organization. Supports DI SW Global Physical security strategy implementation by participating in Asset Classification & Protection assessments.

Area of responsibility

  • Supports Global EHS team and Product Environmental Protection Experts to define and audit processes for Product Environmental Compliance (e.g., RoHS, Material Management).

  • Support in plans, implementation, and following up location assessments/inspections program closely aligned with Global and regional EHS Teams.

  • Supports and promotes global Environmental programs in DI SW and monitor their effectiveness. Has the ability to lead and support cross functional environmental protection related projects.

  • Assists in maintaining appropriate metrics, evaluating data trends, and providing data input to management reviews, with a view to continuous improvement and enhancement.

  • Supports in identifying applicable statutory requirements and implementing action plans to comply with them.

  • Supports elaborating procedures and guidelines to ensure an effective environmental management system.

  • Supports on Environmental Aspects definition and evaluation of risk and opportunities for the locations.

  • Coordinates environmental incident/accident investigation process including root cause analysis and ensure corrective actions are completed.

  • Additionally, support the physical security team by identifying deficiencies for improvement in high-security areas, security equipment, and security systems.

Your qualifications

  • Typically, min. of 5 years of successful experience in related field and successful demonstration of key responsibilities and knowledge from relevant business.

  • Desirable at least 1 year of Product Compliance experience.

  • Degree/ Diploma in Engineering or other related disciplines from recognized institutions or equivalent.

  • Advanced understanding of ISO 14001 (Environmental management), ISO 50001 (Energy management) and Product Environmental regulatory aspects.

  • Evidenced training/expertise in the broader spectrum of environmental protection topics.

  • Evidenced training / expertise in the broader spectrum of Environmental topics.

  • Relevant experience in consultancy, auditing, training, and experience in implementing management systems and related schemes such as ISO 14001, ISO 50001.

  • Trained Internal Auditors on ISO 14001, ISO 50001.

You can work both remote or hybrid – depending of your location. Since we work very closely with our employees, we are looking for a team member who will travel locally occasionally on our sites.
