Job Title: Purchasing Agent

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Purchasing Coordinator to manage material procurement in collaboration with our project management team and field to ensure timely material delivery. Your responsibilities will include developing relationships with manufacturers and vendors, negotiating for pricing, terms and conditions, and delivery/storage terms. You will also analyze and recognize opportunities for bulk buying across projects, manage changes in material procurement needs, and collaborate with accounting to ensure efficient purchasing processes. Furthermore, you will work closely with Preconstruction, Project Management, and Prefabrication teams to determine what materials to procure for prefab assemblies.

Hard Skills

  • 2+ years of purchasing experience

  • 1+ years of experience in the electrical field and knowledge of electrical materials and pricing preferred

  • Experience using material tracking software (we currently use Remarcable)

  • Ability to read plans and specs related to material / equipment procurement

  • ConEst and Bluebeam Revu knowledge (preferred)

Job Type

This is a permanent position.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Kansas City, Missouri.

Work Environment

In this role, you will be required to work independently or in groups, think creatively and analytically, and make quick and sound decisions. You will also be expected to show a strong sense of self-discipline and a desire for constant self and company improvement. Your ability to learn and/or utilize material tracking software will be essential in this role.
