HR Assistant

Location : Kankakee, IL

Pay Rate : $25-$28/hr.

What’s a typical day as an HR Assistant? You’ll be :

• Creating job descriptions and working with temp agencies to identify candidates

• Reviewing applications and resumes to identify suitable candidates

• Coordinating and conducting interviews with potential candidates

• Extending job offers, negotiating terms, and handling the onboarding process for new hires

• Addressing and mediating conflicts or disputes between employees

• Conducting investigations resulting from employee complaints

• Developing and implementing strategies to increase employee engagement and satisfaction

• Ensuring effective communication between management and employees

• Reviewing documents for performance reviews and setting calendar reminders

• Ensuring compliance with labor laws and company policies

• Keeping accurate and up-to-date employee records

• Managing time cards and processing payroll

• Handling various administrative tasks such as drafting HR documents and maintaining files

• Generating reports related to HR metrics

• Monitoring daily attendance and handling call-offs

• Providing backup for phones and customer service as needed

• Participating in special projects as needed
