The team you will be a part of

The Engineering team discovers, develops and evaluates new product ideas, enhancements, or strategic product extensions, and translates research discoveries into usable and marketable products. Leads, plans and tracks all phases of the product life cycle, from inception to introduction into the marketplace. Coordinates with various functions to ensure successful product development and implementation.

This role in summary

The Product Development Sr. Manager, will be leading the Product Delivery Team within the Refrigeration Platform. PDT Leader will be responsible for leading the project portfolio execution for growth & innovation, regulatory compliance and cost & quality initiatives, ensuring business KPI's are delivered on time.

Your responsibilities will include

  • Ensures architecture roadmap delivers to commercial segments with the fewest architectures to support the results needed in the region, implementing product architectures that satisfy customer needs and ensure competitiveness of our products in the market;

  • Lead engineering team accountable for Refrigeration systems integration, guiding them to translate product leadership strategy/regional requirements to product attribute targets;

  • Ensures global development activities are completed on time at cost and quality targets to support the product plans and product execution;

  • Responsible for resolving the cross-functional trade-offs and issues within the project/product plan guardrails, connecting and collaborating with Marketing other project functional stakeholders;

  • Builds exceptional technical talent and capability;

  • Delivers on people excellence, coaching and mentoring team members towards applying product development practices and tools such: FMEA, OpEx (Six Sigma), Systems Engineering, Virtual Product Development, Lean and Reliability;

  • Develops technical talent to ensure we have the right knowledge and skills to create the technical solutions that will enable product leadership. In particular embed and foster a system mindset with subordinates.

Minimum requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering with 10+ years industry experience in product development and execution;

  • Cross-functional experience in product architecture design, development, application, and integration;

  • 5+ years proven people leadership experience (including remote teams). Excellent developer of technical and managerial talent;

  • Fluent in English;

  • Ability to organize technical reviews and effectively monitor the technical risks and opportunities, communicating technical information up and down in the organization;

  • Flexibility and ability to adapt to a changing environment and the ability to manage multiple activities concurrently, teaming well with others in a collaborative environment.

Preferred skills and experiences

  • Knowledge and experience with the consumer products industry;

  • Project Management professional degree;

  • Master’s Degree in Mechanical/Mechatronic Engineering/Thermodynamics;

  • Lean Product Development, Six Sigma Certified, Design for Safety/Reliability;

  • Analytical skills, experience in solving practical issues, and engaging cross-functional teams of multiple process partners to a consensus;

  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills;

  • Ability to meet stringent deadlines; handle multiple tasks, being self-driven and motivated;

  • Experience working with a global team and interacting with team members remotely;

  • Knowledgeable in Google Suite tools.
