Coordinator Nursing Unit I Specialty Care, UHS Wilson Medical Center United Health Services is seeking a Coordinator Nursing Unit I Specialty Care to join our Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit CICU department at UHS Wilson Medical Center in Johnson City, NY. This position is benefits eligible.

per hour, depending on experience.

Overview

The Unit Coordinator assists in the coordination of the daily operation of the unit. Promotes a caring and healing environment for patient-centered care. Functions as a clinical resource and role model, monitors staff assignments and performance, identifies potential problems, participate in Quality Improvement activities, under the direction of the Nursing Manager and in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act, Code of Ethics for Nurses, UHS and the Nursing Division Policies and Philosophy.

Qualifications

Education/Experience

Minimum Required:

  • A graduate of an accredited school of Nursing

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's of Science in Nursing.

  • Two (2) years clinical experience as a Registered Nurse experience in an acute care or ambulatory setting.

  • Previous Charge Nurse experience.

License/Certification

Minimum Required:

  • Current New York State Registered Nurse License.

Preferred:

  • Professional certification in a related nursing specialty.

  • Relevant skills certification (CPR, NRP, PALS, etc..).
