Verisk is seeking aGlobal Protection Services Analyst to join our GPS team in Jersey City, NJ, where we have a flexibly hybrid work model requiring 2-3 days per week in-office and the remainder remote. In this role, you'll be responsible for reviewing global intelligence feeds for safety/security incidents that may affect Verisk employees, travelers, and facilities. The successful candidate will perform assessments to scope the individuals/facilities affected and reach out accordingly to gather status (e.g., large-scale fires, severe weather, crime, and terrorism).

The day-to-day responsibilities of this roleare:

  • Perform facility assessments, evaluating inherent risks, mitigation actions, and remaining residual risks of safety/security of Verisk global facilities.
  • Liaison with facility leads and BU managers in preparation for possible crisis incidents. Incidents can include increased geopolitical tensions and civil unrest situations.
  • Create a corporate risk assessment and traveler protocols for employees traveling to high-risk locations, These reports are updated annually or when an employee is planning to travel. Brief the employee and their manager before travel may commence.
  • Research and prepare various geo-political risk assessments.
  • Review and update the Facility Safety/Security playbook and Employee-facing Safety/Security playbooks.
  • Support the Corporate-wide emergency notification system. Provide training and support to local facility/BU's notification system administrators to ensure they have timely messaging capability. Ensure that administration rights are provided appropriately (by BU or facility). Act as the main contact with the notification system vendors to discuss features or technical issues.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics or a risk-related field.
  • Superior organization and written communication skills, coupled with strong technical writing and / or editorial skills and the ability to develop, document, and maintain methodologies and procedures.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, including MS Excel and PowerPoint, and experience with vendor risk tracking platforms is a plus.
  • Self-started with strong problem-solving abilities and critical thinking skills.
  • Analytical, consulting, presentation, and project management skills preferred
  • Ability to work independently on multiple projects with minimal supervision and meet aggressive deadlines is essential.
  • Willing and able to travel on short notice.
  • Knowledge of security management, business operations, risk management, response management, and physical security assessments (ASIS).
  • 1+ years of experience in global incident response, crisis management, and support preferred
  • Experience in developing and maintaining case management, evidence collection, report preparations, and documentation of substantiated findings preferred
  • Knowledge of facility assessments and evaluating inherent risks preferred
