Ashtabula County Engineer Equipment Mechanic 3 in Jefferson, Ohio
The Ashtabula County Engineer has a full time Equipment Mechanic 3 position available. Applications may be picked up at the County Engineer's Office at 186 E. Satin St., Jefferson, Ohio. They should be returned to the County Engineer's Office.
Job Responsibilities: Perform repairs on diesel and gasoline powered equipment; fabricates/modifies metal parts for use on equipment.
Qualifications: Completion of automotive trade school or equivalent; experience or specialized training in diesel engine repairs; welding experience; valid State of Ohio Commercial Driver's License.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of automotive mechanics; inspection & safety techniques; diagnose and rebuild or perform repairs on light and heavy gasoline and diesel powered equipment and components; demonstrate physical fitness required for extended periods of manual labor; skills in automotive mechanics; equipment, materials and supplies utilized in automotive maintenance and repair.
Starting rate is $23.89/hr. with step increases to $25.39 at the end of 1 year.
