Our Advanced Cargo Handling Systems help to quickly move cargo through the main deck and lower deck of an aircraft. Systems include ball transfer units, power drive units, control systems, freighter common turntables, centerline restraints, bumpers, unicaster panels, door sill assemblies and rollout stops. These components work together to convey and secure cargo within an aircraft for fast and easy loading and unloading. Our control systems are designed with built-in test equipment capability that enables the operator to perform on-aircraft troubleshooting, which significantly reduces the time required for on-aircraft functional tests. Robust and reliable Power Drive Units (PDUs) reduce aircraft load/unload time allowing the operator more commercial revenue flight time.

This position is for a Principal Electrical Engineering professional with deep knowledge and highly developed technical expertise. Directs activities in the discipline and represents the organization at external events.

This position is a hybrid role in Jamestown, ND. This position is eligible for relocation.

  • You will coordinate/drive the electrical team members to complete design facing tasks

  • You will facilitate stand up meetings and reviews related to electrical project activities

  • You will be an Electrical project focal and will support project leadership meetings

  • You will support bid and proposal activities as new opportunities are identified

Education & Experience:

Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience.

Qualifications you must have:

  • Project Lead/Organizational management experience

  • Intermediate understanding of Electronics and Electrical Design

  • Ability to decompose customer requirements into testable electrical product specifications

  • US Citizenship is required

Skills we value:

  • Previous experience as a lead/primary focal

  • Have domain knowledge in Electronics Design

  • Agile project management methods experience

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering

The salary range for this role is 96,000 USD - 200,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
