The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining machines, mechanical equipment, and the overall structure of the facilities in good condition. This role involves machine installation, calibration, repair, and general facility maintenance to ensure optimal operational efficiency.

What will you do:

  • Performs maintenance and repairs of mechanical, electrical, and other physical structures.

  • Trouble shoot and repair electronic and mechanical problems on CNC metal cutting equipment.

  • Basic knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, electronics, and plumbing.

  • Maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs facility mechanical components and electrical systems.

  • Performs machine repair and general preventative maintenance on equipment in compliance with preventative maintenance programs.

  • Provides support in the development and implementation of facility and equipment upgrades.

  • Maintains all paperwork to document repair and preventative maintenance work completed.

  • Complies with SOP’s (standard operating procedures), internal requirements, manufacturer’s specifications, and safety policies.

  • May perform other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects.

  • Capability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.

  • Comfortable working in various environmental conditions.

Work Environment:

The Maintenance Technician will work in a manufacturing or industrial setting, which may involve exposure to noise, heat, and other environmental factors. Proper safety gear and protocols must be followed at all times.

Qualifications you must have:

  • Typically requires a HS diploma with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience. In the absence of a HS diploma or GED, 3 years of relevant experience is required.

  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. RTX will not offer sponsorship for this position

    Qualifications we prefer:

  • Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician or similar role.

  • Strong knowledge of machinery and mechanical systems.

  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.

  • Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.

  • Good understanding of safety protocols and procedures.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
