This is a job for a Senior Technical Accountant position with the company located in Jackson, MS area.
REMOTE POSITION
Job Summary: We are seeking a Sr. Technical Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented, self-motivated team player with a strong working knowledge of GAAP, SEC regulations, and internal controls. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities: Conduct research on complex technical accounting issues in accordance with GAAP and organizational protocols. Review and analyze emerging accounting standards, assess their potential impact on the company, and support the implementation of necessary adjustments to comply with these standards. Prepare monthly close data, journal entries, and account reconciliation for technical accounting areas. Assist in the implementation and documentation of processes and procedures for internal controls. As necessary, assist in ad-hoc projects and any technical accounting requests. Evaluate, update, and maintain accounting policies and procedures in line with U.S. GAAP.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field. CPA (Certified Public Accountant). 2+ years of public accounting experience working on public companies. Experience with SAAS companies a plus. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, NetSuite experience a plus. Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and ability to meet tight deadlines. Effective communication skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and present information clearly and concisely.
