You will serve as a SUPV SEXUAL ASSAULT RESPONSE COORDINATOR (SAR WF) in the Department of Navy of MARINE CORPS AIR STATION IWAKUNI. Initial consideration for this announcement is limited to the number of applications listed at the top of this announcement (50). Responsibilities You will plan, administer, provide oversight and guidance, and develops and manages overall work of the office. You will coordinate response activities in the event of a sexual assault report, provides guidance and technical assistance on SAPR procedures. You will ensure victims are receiving direct and indirect services to receive guidance and emotional support during administrative, medical, investigative, and legal procedures. You will serve as a member of the Case Management Group; coordinates with Victim Advocates to help address policy issues, concerns or questions related to SAPR. Direct, prepare, coordinate, issues and monitors the sexual assault statistics and establish protocols for accurate and timely collection of specified data for input into the USMC/DoD sanctioned databases Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector managing a Sexual Assault Prevention and Response (SAPR) program; directing, sustaining, and overseeing prevention and support programs and activities; AND providing guidance and resolution to victim advocates ensuring integration, transparency and system accountability for sexual assault awareness, prevention, response, training, and victim care is achieved. Applicants must meet the following Basic Requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual: Applicants must possess: Degree: behavioral or social science; or related disciplines appropriate to the position. or Combination of education and experience that provided the applicant with knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field. or Four years of appropriate experience that demonstrated that the applicant has acquired knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field. Conditions of Employment continued: You will be required to obtain and maintain a Status of Forces Agreement (SOFA) Driver's license. You will be required to obtain and maintain D-SAACP certification. You will be required to obtain and maintain access to Catch a Serial Offender (CATCH) Program, Defense Sexual Assault Incident Database (DSAID). Pay retention may be granted to the selectee recruited outside the area who accepts a downgrade when there in the lower grade that equals or exceeds his/her current of basic pay. Pay retention may be offered to selectees whose pay would otherwise be reduced when an employee applies through a formal recruitment program and is selected for a position at an overseas location per DODI 1400.25-V 536, June 28, 2006, Para 3 c. Overseas allowances may be authorized in accordance with Department of State. A service agreement may be negotiated in accordance with the Joint Travel Regulation (JTR), applicable Department of Navy (DoN) policies, and local Marine Corps Bases Japan. Commute area is defined as the geographic area surrounding the duty location in which people can reasonably be expected to travel back and forth daily. Military spouses and family members who are appointed may not extend longer than 2 months following the transfer of the sponsor from the commuting area of the foreign duty station; 2 months beyond the separation of the appointee's sponsor; or any time beyond the time employee ceases to be a family member. ICTAP Applicants: To be considered well-qualified and exercise selection priority as an ICTAP candidate, displaced Federal employees must satisfy all qualification requirements for the position and receive a rating in the highly qualified category (score 85) or higher.
