The Sr. Apple Mac/Jamf Engineer is responsible for leading a variety of engineering activities including the design, acquisition and deployment of hardware, software and network infrastructure in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to lead efforts to ensure quality standards are being met within existing and planned framework.

The CTI Devices, OS, Management & Mobility Engineering team is seeking a Senior Apple Mac / Jamf Engineer responsible for the end-to-end architecture, design and engineering lifecycle of the macOS platform and associated Jamf services. The role is directly responsible for ensuring that end user solutions are architected and designed to meet and exceed approved business use cases. The position will also provide technical subject matter expertise to peer engineering teams, Product Management and operational support groups.

Responsibilities:

• Provide ownership of the macOS platform, desktop device strategy and technical direction of all Apple desktop products within the environment.

• Provide technical leadership and serve as the technical point of contact for assigned projects.

• Lead design sessions, assessment, analysis and troubleshooting.

• Design practical and cost effective macOS solutions and services that meet customer requirements.

• Support regional/global project and operational teams with technical subject matter expertise.

• Have the ability to analyze and solve business or technical problems.

• Have the ability to communicate effectively to internal clients through all available mediums (verbal, listening, writing and presenting).

• Have the ability to produce first-rate technical documentation.

• Willingness to stay on the leading edge of technology by learning new technologies.

• Assist with knowledge transfer to internal engineering and operational peers.

• Have the ability to operate as part of small team, and be motivated to self-manage personal deliverables.

Qualifications:

• 6-10 years of relevant experience in an Engineering role

• Extensive knowledge of the Jamf Pro/Cloud MDM solutions

• Extensive experience of all technical aspects of macOS, including the ability to perform low-level debugging

• Extensive experience of automated macOS deployment methodologies within large-scale environments that are geographically dispersed

• Extensive experience of the end-to-end process of managing macOS in a large-scale environment

• Expertise on various Apple hardware platforms including MacBook Pro, Mac Mini etc.

• Proven record of accomplishment of delivering technology services and products

• Ideally degree level education, but extensive industry experience will be considered

• Agile Scrum Master qualifications advantageous

• Experience working in Financial Services or a large complex and/or global environment

• Project Management experience

• Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication

• Comprehensive knowledge of design metrics, analytics tools, benchmarking activities and related reporting to identify best practices

• Demonstrated analytic/diagnostic skills

• Ability to work in a matrix environment and partner with virtual teams

• Ability to work independently, multi-task, and take ownership of various parts of a project or initiative

• Ability to work under pressure and manage to tight deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements

• Proven track record of operational process change and improvement

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience

• Certification: JAMF 100, 200, 300 preferred
