We are seeking an experienced and talented Associate Geologist to join our Southern California team for our Irvine office.

Responsibilities:

•Develop and interact with clients,

•Participate in professional societies,

•Effectively communicate/coordinate/interact with senior and staff level geologists, engineers, laboratory and administrative staff,

•Prepare scope and fee proposals, expedite work, and write technical reports,

•Mentor/direct staff in completion of field/office tasks,

•Manage project budgets,

•Apply advanced geological principles and methodologies.

•Contribute to strategic planning initiatives by providing geological expertise and insights into potential growth areas or emerging industry trends

•Oversee QA/QC processes for technical reports and deliverables to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with regulatory standards,

•Develop and execute business development strategies to expand client base and identify new opportunities for growth.

Qualifications:

•BS and/or MS degree in Geology or related Earth Science

•Professional Geologist (PG), and Engineering Geologist (EG) licensure

•15+ years professional geotechnical consulting experience

•Strong attention to detail and excellent verbal/written communication, organizational, analytical and judgment skills

•Working knowledge of southern California geology, development concepts and remedial earthwork processes and exploratory tools

•Proficiency in trenching/drilling/sampling/mapping techniques and soil/bedrock unit identification

•Availability for travel to local job sites

•Ability to manage geotechnical projects from inception to completion, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.

•Familiarity with advanced field techniques such as geophysical surveys, remote sensing, CPT and/or GIS applications to enhance project efficiency/accuracy.

•Ability to mentor and lead a team of staff geologists and foster professional development and knowledge sharing.

•Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders.
