Job Description
Skyworks is seeking an experienced and dynamic senior manager to lead the team to develop automation solutions for Multi-Chip Module (MCM) design flow with integrated EM simulations and to manage HBT Process Design Kit (PDK) development. In this role, you will oversee the development, validation, and maintenance of EM simulation flows with associated EDA tools. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and efficiency in our design processes.
Location can be Irvine, CA or Newbury Park, CA or San Jose, CA or Woburn, MA or Andover, MA
Responsibility
• Lead the team to develop automation solutions to support MCM designs for EM simulations with seamlessly integration of EM models into simulation flow.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design teams, EDA tool vendors to drive innovation and efficiency in design process, especially with EM design flow
• Manage solution’s life cycle from creating vision of design flow, and automation tool improvement, to soliciting needs, understand bottlenecks experienced and communicate ongoing development plans with the design community.
• Manage project environment for SiP module design, including design sharing and library access.
• Drive the adoption of best practices and methodologies for EM simulations
• Oversee the development and maintenance of PDKs for our internal HBT Process
• Conduct rigorous testing and debugging of PDKs and EDA tools to ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Provide technical support and training to internal design teams
Job Requirements
• MSEE or MSCS with 12 years of experience working in Electronic Design Automation (EDA)
• Proficient with EM simulation tools design and setup. Specifically, experience with the use of Ansys AED, HFSS/3D Layout/Q3D
• Experience with SiP Module and EVB layout process.
• Experience with Cadence APD, Virtuoso & Keysight ADS
• Experience with PDK development
• Proficient with Python, Perl & Unix/Linux shell scripting
• Experience with revision control & data management tools (Cliosoft, svn, git)
• Proven leadership and team management skills.
• Good interpersonal communications and problem-solving skills

The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is currently USD $136,800 - $271,500 per year . Starting base pay will depend on relevant experience and skills, training and education, business needs, market demands, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location.
