Gogebic-Iron Wastewater Authority Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator in Ironwood, Michigan
::: {ux="ContentBasic"} ::: {ux="ContentText" aid="CONTENTDESCRIPTION1RENDERED" typography="BodyAlpha"} The Gogebic-Iron Wastewater Board is accepting applications for a full-time professional Wastewater Operator. While preference is for applicants holding a State of Michigan Class D or above Wastewater Operator certification, applicants demonstrating an ability to obtain the required Class D wastewater certification will be considered.
Candidates must have strong mathematical and mechanical skills. Experience or training in basic chemistry, biology or Industrial Electricity/Scada would be advantageous.
Work shifts will be Wednesday -- Sunday.
Minimum Requirements include: Applicants must have at least a H.S. Diploma or General Education Certificate and be able to demonstrate their capability to achieve a Class D wastewater operator certificate within the first two years of employment. Applicants must possess a valid driver's license and a criminal background check is required before employment.
Wages and Benefits: The starting wage for applicants holding a Wastewater Certification is from $24.68 to $25.63 per hour. Applicants with no wastewater certification will start at the training wage of 22.21 per hour.
