Wolters Kluwer Marketing Generalist in Indianapolis, Indiana

The Marketing Generalist will bring ideas, knowledge and curiosity to the table to contribute to the development and execution of marketing plans for Corporate Tax products offered by CCH Tagetik. Working with the Marketing team and building relationships with Sales teams and other experts, you will help define and implement marketing plans to increase revenue and move the business up market. We are looking for a self-starter who is eager to learn, demonstrates they can deliver and solve problems, and is comfortable with cross-departmental collaboration and influencing stakeholders.

Under general supervision, you will be responsible for planning and implementation of webinars, trade shows, and content creation for website, sales brochures, and event deliverables. You may also contribute to developing marketing forecasts, measuring campaign performance and/or monitoring project budgets. Developing an understanding of the business, team and market-related information, such as customer needs, competitive threats, trends, and opportunities will be required to execute an effective campaign strategy that achieves our revenue goals.

Essential Duties and responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute marketing campaigns in a mix of channels and formats, including webinars, events, email marketing and website, to drive MQLs, pipeline and revenue, while maximizing ROI

  • Create email campaigns in marketing automation platform for driving engagement for webinars and events, and conversion to MQL and QSO

  • Collaborate with Product Management, Sales, and other stakeholders to ensure that Go-To Market (GTM) plans, business cases and sales targets are supported by the appropriate marketing plans

  • Generate B2B leads via appropriate and compelling direct marketing (lead generation and nurture) through webinars, events, sales collateral, web presence

  • Track and report on marketing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), including leads generated and conversion to opportunities

  • Assess the ROI of marketing campaigns and ongoing marketing spend, adjusting spend as appropriate to meet KPIs

  • Collaborate with marketing and sales to select and prioritize relevant trade shows for the segment and provide direction to Sales

  • Work with customers directly to understand customer needs; participate in sales calls, trade shows, and industry events

  • Contribute to marketing plans informed by an understanding of market segments and actively monitor, communicate, and act upon changes relevant to customers and competition

  • Work with Sales and Product Management to develop relationships with key associations, core affiliates, and other third parties

  • Update sales materials and marketing collateral to communicate product benefits to empower enterprise sales teams with tools (pitch decks, solution briefs, data sheets, value-driven playbooks) that communicate the product value, support the sales process, and reach potential customers

  • Contribute to the strategy and content development for programs that drive product demand

  • Other activities and projects, as needed

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, related field, OR equivalent

  • 2-3 years of marketing experience, preferably in webinars/event strategy

  • Experienced content creator/copywriter for B2B marketing

  • Competence with marketing to professionals in a B2B environment; specific exposure to tax or accounting a definite asset

  • Experienced with: Marketo (or similar MAP), Salesforce (or similar), Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

  • Design experience, preferred (Adobe, Canva, etc)

  • Excellent organization and project management skills including ability to juggle several projects simultaneously and achieve goals with minimal conflict

  • Creative, flexible and inquisitive

  • Excellent follow through, attention to detail, and time management skills

  • Demonstrate desire and ability to learn, as well as a passion for Marketing, learning and delivering as expected or better

Travel: 10-15%, some international travel possible
