Oracle Staff Consultant - OUAF / Oracle Energy and Water in HYDERABAD, India

Job Description

KEY OBJECTIVE

(Outline key/overall objectives of the role)

  1. Work as part of the project team and responsible for converting technical/internal design specifications to program the software system.

  2. Ensure customer satisfaction by delivering high quality programs within agreed budgets and time frames.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

( Outline specific tasks/responsibilities of the role)

  1. Contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle

  2. Build, and maintain efficient, reusable and reliable code that can be high-volume and low-latency

  3. Ensure the best possible performance, quality and responsiveness of the applications

  4. Identify bottlenecks bugs and devise solutions to these problems

  5. Help maintain code quality, organization and automatization

  6. Prepare and produce releases of software components

  7. Liaise with designers and participate in technical design walkthroughs

  8. Develop/Implement and Unit test the programs and configurations related to the designs.

  9. Perform code and unite test reviews during development phases

  10. Provide regular status reports to Project Manager

Responsibilities

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE and TRAINING

  1. (Indicate the essential experience, qualifications and attributes required to perform this position effectively)

  2. University degree in Engineering in IT, Computer Science or relates subject - B.Tech / BE / BS / MS preferred

  3. At least two (2) years of software development experience, preferably in a multi-national organization

  4. At least two (1) year of work experience in java or groovy or java script development. Technical capability in the areas of Java, J2EE, XML, XPath and Webservices.

  5. At least two (1) year of work experience in Building Custom Solutions using OUAF (Oracle Utilities Application Framework)

  6. Experience in detail level estimation of effort for development and testing of solutions

  7. Techno/Functional Knowledge of Oracle Utilities Products such as Customer Care and Billing (CCB), Customer to Meter (C2M), Meter Data management (MDM), Mobile Workforce Management (MWM), Work and Asset management (WAM) is preferable.

  8. Knowledge in any Customer Information System, Billing System or Meter Data Management System is a plus

  9. Experience in Object-oriented Design and Development is plus

  10. Strong written and spoken english communication skills
