Position: R&D Principal Technologist, Product Development

Previous experience: Architecting, design and development of commercial software either individually or a combination of an on-prem, Web or Cloud, using .Net. Ideally 5-8 years of recent experience on developing AI capabilities and an overall experience of at least 10-15 years in commercial software development would be desired.

Location: Hyderabad, India – Hybrid (60% office, 40% remote)

The job

We are looking for an enthusiastic, sharp, curious mind to join our AI team. You will play an important role in evaluating different AI technologies and approaches, be comfortable with rapid prototyping and be able to quickly integrate those capabilities into our existing suite of products.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate technologies and approaches for AI solutions which could include machine learning, deep learning, computer vision, LLM/SLM, NLP etc.

• Lead/contribute towards the architecture and design of scalable, robust, and secure software systems.

• Designing and rapid prototyping frameworks, reuseable components aimed at bringing innovative and intuitive AI capabilities into our AVEVA solutions.

• You should possess and exhibit excellent collaboration and communication skills to work effectively in a widely distributed team environment.

• You should be comfortable in working with architects and other key stakeholders.

• You may work on products which could be a mix of on-prem, SaaS, desktop based or web/mobile app.

• Establish/Update standards for code quality, performance, security, and maintainability.

• Deliver a performant and secure product/service.

Ideal experience

• You are generally an AI enthusiast, good a math and problem solving.

• You should be proficient in multiple programming languages like C#, Python, scripting languages and extensive software development experience in various methodologies and tools.

• Deep understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and principles.

• Experience with at least one cloud platform (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and microservices architecture.

• Strong knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.

• Understand or have worked on technologies like Docker/Kubernetes etc.

• Good understanding and hands-on development experience on AI & Machine Learning with good background of basic statistical and mathematical concepts.

• You have a demonstrated experience with distributed systems/cloud computing on a commercial scale.
