Job Description

A client is seeking an Structural Analyst to support their Energy and Defense Solutions business unit. This person is using ANSYS for structural analysis of boil and pressure vessels designs. Needs to know design by analysis techniques well enough to perform hand calculations and not just application tool usage.

Skills and Requirements

8+ years of structural analysis experience

Proficient with ANSYS Workbench OR highly proficient in understanding underlying math and methods of a similar software

Traditional 'hand calculation' using tools such as excel, MATLAB, and/or MathCAD.

Ability to gain secret clearance PE license

ASME B31.3 (piping, vessel codes)

Nuclear design, ASME NQA-1

ASME III Div 1 or Div 5

ASME VIII Div 1 or Div 2 certified (boil and pressure vessel codes)

Proven success in a project driven environment where requirements change frequently null
