Systems Products and Solutions Production - Team Lead in Huntsville, Alabama

MSSI is seeking a Production Lead to manage and take ownership of current assigned (and new) programs with an in depth understanding of the assigned Program(s) contract(s). This individual will Work closely with various internal departments, such as Program Financial Analysts (PFA), Contracts, Business Development, Human Resources, Recruiting, etc. You will also direct all phases of the assigned program(s) from inception through completion and meet corporate deliverables to ensure 100% customer satisfaction. This position is contingent.

  • Production, Storage, Warehousing, and Inventory Control: Responsible for procuring, producing, inspecting, packing, packaging, storing, and controlling the inventory of equipment for all related programs, including variants, derivatives and replacements for all of these programs within.
  • Utilize the Governments accountability systems including Logistic Modernization Program (LMP) and Defense Property Accountability System (DPAS) systems for the production, storage, and inventory control tasks as part of the Integrated Product Team (IPT) activities.
  • Support a warehouse manager to maintain all inventory on a yearly basis, or as required.
  • Responsible for maintaining and securing the warehouse and its inventory.
  • Provide storage of all procured hardware, as well as any Government Furnished Property (GFP) which includes Government Furnished Material (GFM)/Government Furnished Equipment (GFE).
  • Utilize the Governments specified inventory accounting systems such as Logistic Modernization Program (LMP) and Defense Property Accountability System (DPAS) for all GFM/GFE to enable the Government to properly account for, inventory manage, transfer these items when necessary and support special inventories, i.e. Army Audit.
  • Maintain control of all items procured in support of production delivery orders and shall provide a monthly report of current inventory status to the Government.
  • Establish sustainable operations schedule: weekly, monthly, and quarterly.
  • Manage and execute the staffing schedule and support ramp up plans.
  • Oversee the cost, schedule, andperformance of contract and subcontract personnel.
  • Work directly with the COR and Contracting Officer to oversee and carry out the established goals and objectives.
  • Participate in driving initiatives for achieving established objectives.
  • Recommend and direct the analysis and solutions of problems.
  • Oversee professional, administrative, and technical services as needed as well as Technical Guidance as issued by the VP of Operations.
  • Support development of the annual operating plan and budget development.
  • Provide management services including general administrative oversight, time accounting, financial tracking, cost projection, inventory management, personnel evaluation, and support.
  • Manage staff, including performance reviews, daily tasks, timecards, personnel concerns, performance reviews, etc.
  • Utilize Customer satisfaction surveys in managing customer relationships.
  • Maintain and ensure compliance within contractual Labor Category requirements, QMS and all aspects.
  • Develop and maintain the creation, execution and improvement of business processes for the program.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds.
  • Certified to operate a forklift.
  • Adhere to the companys AS9100 policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education/Skills:

  • HS Diploma or GED and 7 years or BS/BA and 4 years of relevant experience.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance.
  • Priority military experience is highly preferred (i.e. MOS 11C, supply and logistics experience).
  • Knowledge of MS Office Suite and ability to create and update reports for management.
