IronMountain Solutions, Inc. is seeking aAH-64 D/E Subject Matter Expertsupporting the Production & Fielding division of the Apache Attack Helicopter Project Management Office (AAH-PMO) in Huntsville, Alabama. Candidates must have extensive hands-on experience and knowledge of the Apache helicopter and must be highly motivated, a self-starter and be able to handle multiple tasks.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Solve critical technical issues throughout the Apache weapon systems life cycle, analyze and interpret data, collaborating with the appropriate offices to transition cutting edge technology to production.

  • Draft and coordinate input for contractual statements of work involving weapon systems engineering to include technology improvements, criteria for continued use, failure or sub-par performance investigations, obsolescence-related configuration changes and maintenance or field modifications.

  • Draft technical performance requirements for rotorcraft systems.

  • Review and approve, in coordination with the airworthiness authority, contractor-submitted Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs), drawings, repair criteria, technical manual updates, specifications and other technical documentation in support of LCT development and upgrades.

  • Perform technical evaluations of contractor-submitted proposals in coordination with project office business and contracting personnel.

  • Develop process improvements, working with Government and Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) to coordinate organizational activities required to meet mission objectives.

  • Maintain proper systems view by coordinating with other Government and contractor personnel who systems interface with the AH-64 platform.

  • Maintain cognizance of aircraft and general rotorcraft status and development activity and work to address any related issues that may impact AH-64 production and/or fielding activities.

  • Prepare and deliver briefings and written reports to management, customers, and other higher-level personnel.

  • Assess program cost, schedule, and performance risks related to assigned projects

  • Provide recommendations, findings, and decisions to program PM and senior management in the accomplishment of various Program objectives.

  • Keep PM informed of technical status of assigned tasks, program status, significant program events, controversial issues, program reviews, and other relevant issues.

  • Be able to meet challenging deadlines.

  • Must be willing and able to travel up to 20%.

    Education and General Experience:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in an engineering discipline (Software, Mechanical, Electrical, etc.) is preferred but not required and must have at least ten (10) years of relevant experience.

  • Strong interpersonal skills are a must to facilitate coordination with configuration management, contracts, outside contractors/vendors, engineers, and project/program leadership.

  • Experience working on Army Aviation development programs.

  • Apache Helicopter experience is required.

  • Familiar with technical manufacturing, production, and/or retrofit technical requirements.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of LCT requirements, device utilization and operation are required.

  • Candidates should have excellent program management, organizational, and communication skills with experience in managing and developing Longbow Crew Trainer (LCT) requirements and software.

  • This candidate will work closely with the Product Manager, other engineers, pilots, technicians, government contracting agencies, and vendors to ensure system development success.

  • An ideal candidate should have experience with Army Acquisition, be highly motivated, a self-starter, and be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • The ideal candidate for this position must be able to work independently, often acting without direct supervision, be self-motivated, and be able to build strong relationship across multiple project offices with all levels of government employees.

    Clearance Requirements: The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance is required.
