Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Nurse Manager - NYU Langone Huntington Medical Group. In this role, the successful candidate Position Summary:Provides and integrates clinical leadership and management of patient care consistent with the philosophy and goals of the institution, Departments of Nursing, and clinical service; develops and sustains an environment of excellence in patient / family service, growth and development of staff, and application of evidenced-based practice.

Job Responsibilities:

    • Promotes patient, physician and other consumer satisfaction by facilitating excellent customer service by all members of the health care team. Assures compliance with standards and regulations promulgated by all applicable agencies. Collects, analyzes and presents data to evaluate productivity and potential practice changes. Participates in sharing administrative support and responsibility for the service as indicated.
    • Provides clinical leadership in assessing, implementing and evaluating the care provided to a targeted patient population.
    • Acts as a professional role model to all levels of staff by incorporating expertise and related experience into all aspects of patient care and the nursing process.
    • Facilitates a collaborative interdisciplinary approach to achieve optimal patient care outcomes.
    • Develops, promulgates, and fosters the implementation of process and outcomes standards for the delivery of patient care relevant to area of practice.
    • Serves as a role model for staff in considering needs and behaviors of specific patient age and cultural groups.
    • Supports the mission, philosophy, standards, goals and objectives of the institution, department, and service line. Provides leadership for management of the unit, serving as a role model and resource for unit or service-level leadership staff.
    • Demonstrates knowledge of the organizations Service Standards and incorporates them into the performance of responsibilities.
    • Functions as a respectful member of the health care team. Facilitates an environment conducive to creativity in practice, collaboration with all members of the health care team, and the fostering of collegial relationships. Provides a suitable plan for optimal availability of resources for safe, competent, and effective patient care delivery.
    • Identifies, investigates and proactively responds to potential and actual risk management issues per standards and institutional policies. Practices prudent fiscal management of the unit. Interviews, hires, develops, guides, counsels, and disciplines nursing staff consistent with principles of a caring, fair, and professional work environment.

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a Minimum Qualifications:Licensure: Current Registered Professional Nurse in New York. Education: Baccalaureate degree in Nursing required. Competence: At least three years of clinical practice in the care of the patient population served; ability to apply nursing process toward achievement of specific outcomes in an organized fashion which addresses patient/family satisfaction. Progressive leadership; demonstrated in a leadership position or demonstrates the potential for leadership competency; demonstrates ability to develop, guide, motivate, nurture, and coach others; participation in service or departmental committees. Evidence of excellent interpersonal skills, effective communication skills, and creative problem solving. Membership in pertinent professional organizations.

Preferred Qualifications:
Preferred Qualifications:Masters degree in Nursing or health-related area preferred. Certification in relevant practice area preferred.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $108,813.85 - $150,675.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
