The Digital Modernization Sector at Leidos currently has an opening for a Purchasing Agent located at the NASA Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas. This is an exciting opportunity to leverage your knowledge and skills in procurement support and contract support on the AEGIS program. In this role, you will be a central point of contact between Engineering, the Customer Support Representatives, Procurement, and NASA Customer representatives for the facilitation of project support activities including procurement processing, tracking materials and services orders, and soliciting funding approval requests from NASA for AEGIS IT projects.

Primary Responsibilities:

The Purchasing Agent will be responsible for purchasing indirect goods and services and routine direct materials across the company. Typical duties include: supplier contract negotiation and administration; sourcing and supplier cost management; supplier-contract regulatory compliance and supplier-contract risk management. Responsible for outstanding customer and stakeholder engagement. This role requires careful detailed documentation, tracking, monitor and control, and customer and stakeholder follow-up. Once projects are designed, the Purchasing Agent will be responsible for providing the project estimates to the customer for review and approval. Upon approval, the Purchasing Agent will then create and maintenance detailed tracking records for all procurements and track until fulfillment. This person will be responsible to report on procurement and project activities to Finance in order to reconcile the planned vs actual expenditures.

Basic Qualifications:

• BA or BS degree in Supply Chain, Information Technology, or related field or 3 years of experience in lieu of degree.

• 3 or more years of relevant Supply Chain and/or Procurement experience.

• 3+ years’ experience in a large enterprise IT environment.

• Experience with supply chain and/or procurement methodologies, processes, and workflow tools.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with large enterprise IT procurement and supply chain services, processes, and procedures.

• Experience with NASA

Pay Range:

Pay Range $42,250.00 - $76,375.00
