Robert Half Financial Analyst in Houston, Texas

Description We are seeking a Financial Analyst to be based in Houston, Texas, who will be a key contributor in the Renewable Energy Division, specifically in the business development of new utility-scale renewable energy and battery projects. The position involves a significant amount of financial and commercial aspects, including financial modeling, proposal and contract preparation, and finance arrangement, as well as tracking and communicating commercial and financial issues to stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain and manage financial models in collaboration with external financial advisors and related parties

• Update financial models to support valuation, planning, and forecasting

• Conduct sensitivity and comparable analysis of financial models based on various assumptions

• Analyze market pricing and congestion forecasts from advisors, and order necessary modifications based on market view

• Attend meetings with advisors such as Financial Advisor, Tax Advisor, Insurance Advisor, and document meeting minutes

• Arrange finance for the project and maintain regular communication with finance lenders

• Prepare proposals and contracts for Power Purchase Agreements (PPA) with related parties

• Evaluate the economic feasibility of potential projects, including the necessary technical inputs needed for calculation

• Support the arrangement of potential equity transactions for projects with related parties Requirements • Demonstrated proficiency in ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning

• Strong background in Finance

• Proven experience in Financial Modeling

• Proficiency in Data Visualization tools and techniques

• Expertise in Valuation Analysis and Valuation Modeling

• Prior experience in Business Development

• Knowledge and experience in Development Planning

• Ability to conduct Revenue Forecasting accurately

• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or related field

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel

• Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines

• Attention to detail and accuracy in work

• Strict adherence to company policies and regulations

• Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
