VRX, Inc. Environmental Inspector in Houston, Texas
VRX, Inc. is seeking an Environmental Inspector for work in the Houston, TX area.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Follow all current Storm Water Management guidelines and verify SW3P and
Environmental Permits Issues and Commitments (EPIC) sheet requirements are
followed.
Verify appropriate permits are in place for all contractor Project Specific Locations
(PSL’s).
Maintain the SW3P working drawings, which must be located in the field office at all
times.
Maintain documentation in accordance with the Texas Pollutant Discharge Elimination
System’s (TPDES), and Construction General Permit (CGP).
Perform SW3P inspections in accordance with the frequency required on the State’s
Form 2118.
Verify that the contractor follows the guidelines of the CGP.
Notify the State immediately in the event the contractor fails to make the corrections
required by the CGP.
Provide all environmental correspondence to the State.
If there are any change orders or added construction that will impact the Environmental
document, coordinate with the State to provide the necessary documentation.
Maintain a separate SW3P working copy of plan set and verify it is updated as required
to remain in compliant.
Provide personnel certified in EMS Training Matrix, ENV103 and ENV300, or equivalent. [VRX WILL PROVIDE THIS TRAINING]
Required Qualification:
Stormwater Pollution Prevention inspections in accordance with the TPDES CGP.
Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PDF editor
Ability to work independently and within a team
Ability to work from home and within construction field offices
Good communication skills
Drivers license with good driving record
Ability to read construction plans
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience preparing Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans including making BMP recommendations
Knowledge of central and south Texas flora and fauna
Ability to implement Edwards Aquifer Water Pollution Abatement Plans
Knowledge of threatened and endangered species regulations
Experience with TxDOT environmental inspection process including Construction Stage Gate Inspection Checklist Process
Phase I ESA experience
GPS/GIS knowledge
CESSWI or other stormwater inspection certification
