Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Supervising shift Equipment Technicians in support of project operations, including the operation, repair, and maintenance of the E&M system (including reels/carousels, tension machines, winches, product handling cranes, CCTV systems, and Communications systems)

• Assist the Offshore Construction Manager in ensuring that the offshore operations are carried out in an organized and controlled manner, conforming to the company QHS&E requirements

• Ensuring Equipment Technicians are tasked accordingly, taking due account of their skills and competence.

• Carry out toolbox talks at the start of each shift and for none standard operations.

• Reviewing the manner in which equipment is being operated and reporting any activities which may subject the equipment to damage or create unsafe conditions.

• Ensuring relevant equipment-related matters are brought to the attention of the onshore Vessel Technical Manager, including Company technical documentation requiring to be updated, i.e. Operation and Maintenance Manuals, Drawings, Circuit Diagrams, etc.

Essential Qualifications and Education:

  • High school graduate, Diploma, Technical Degree

  • 15 years experience in offshore construction industry

  • Knowledge of the Project operations to be undertaken

  • Experience in offshore environment

  • Experience operating flexible or rigid product lay systems

  • Proven man management ability

  • In possession of relevant trade certificate (Electrical/Mechanical/Subsea)

  • Good interpersonal and leadership skills and an ability to communicate in spoken and written English

  • Offshore Personal Safety and Survival Training.

  • Suitable Offshore Personal Medical Certificate – ENG1 or Equivalent.
