Job Title: CONTROLLER

Location: Houston, Texas (Hybrid Work Schedule)

We're currently searching for a self-motivated, accomplished Controller to maintain overall control of our client's financial operations within two divisions in Houston, Texas. This role is critical to our client, and will oversee month-end close and division financial reporting, ensuring financial responsibilities and objectives align with the company's targets and vision.

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

• Prepare and monitor the monthly close process and financial reporting of two divisions.

• Conduct in-depth financial analysis to identify trends, forecast business growth, and identify potential cost efficiencies.

• Ensure that the divisions maintain financial record systems in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, and monitor the use of all funds.

• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal budgetary reporting requirements.

• Establish credibility throughout the organization as a highly effective developer of solutions to business challenges.

• Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to enhance company's operational proficiency.

• Collaborate with senior management in strategic planning, budgeting and forecasting initiatives.

• Participate in activities to improve departmental efficiency, conserve company resources, and boost financial performance.

  Requirements

WHAT YOU PROVIDE TO THE POSITION

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics. CPA certification is a plus.

• Proven working experience as a Financial Controller or similar role within the construction industry.

• Proven experience managing monthly close and financial reporting responsibilities.

• Excellent knowledge of data analysis, risk management, forecasting, budgeting, and financial auditing.

• High proficiency in MS Office Suite and familiarity with construction industry software.

• Exceptional analytical, organizational, leadership, communication and decision-making skills.

• Ability to handle multiple tasks, set priorities, schedule, and meet deadlines.
