Job Description

An employer in the Downtown Houston, Texas area is looking C# Middleware Engineer to join the Passenger Services Systems team. The main responsibility of the Engineer will be to build software using C# .Net technologies while configuring existing systems and providing user support. They will be working fully in the Middleware, programming in C#. This team turns IBM RPC calls into automated responses using JSON REST. Java coding is highly preferred as they have some upcoming needs pipelined. This person must sit onsite 3 days a week in Downtown Houston, Texas. Other responsibilities include:

Participate in requirements analysis

Collaborate with internal teams to produce software design and architecture

Write clean, scalable code using .NET programming languages

Test and deploy applications and systems

Revise, update, refactor, and debug code

Improve existing software

Develop documentation throughout the software development life cycle (SDLC)

Serve as an expert on applications and provide technical support.

This position pays between $55-$60/hr.

Skills and Requirements

5+ years experience with .Net Core (version 3+)

Experience supporting middleware applications in C#

Experience with REST APIs

Experience with JSON

Experience doing containerization with Kubernetes Experience programming in Java (huge plus)

AWS experience

Airline experience

Experience with .Net 8 null
