Description We are seeking a meticulous Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team based in Houston, Texas. As an Accounts Payable Clerk, you will play a crucial role in managing purchase orders and ensuring smooth operations within the Accounts Payable team. This role offers a contract to permanent employment opportunity and allows for remote work.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the lifecycle of purchase orders, including creation, deletion, and reconciliation.

• Act as the primary liaison between Operations and the Accounts Payable team.

• Regularly follow up both internally and externally for resolution of purchase order issues and processing of Accounts Payable invoices.

• Ensure all payments are made only against correct purchase orders.

• Clear administrative errors from the log in a timely manner.

• Handle customer inquiries effectively and promptly.

• Maintain a high level of accuracy in the processing of customer credit applications.

• Proactively monitor customer accounts and take appropriate actions when necessary.

• Utilize your skills in Accounts Payable to ensure efficient and effective financial operations.

• Utilize SAP for various tasks, a plus for this role. Requirements • Proficient knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP) processes and systems

• Experience in managing and processing invoices

• Strong numerical and data entry skills

• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion

• Detail-oriented with an ability to identify errors or discrepancies

• Familiarity with accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles

• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail

• Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure

• Prior experience in an accounts payable role would be an advantage.
