Job Summary

This role is an operational leader and manages the work activities in a fund administration team in Hong Kong, which provides fund reporting and administration to our real estate clients.

You will be responsible for the service delivery, growth, optimization and efficiency of the Investment Accounting & Reporting team. It includes overseeing and set up the reporting requirement for various complex multi-tier investment entities in the fund’s structure. Reviews monthly, quarterly and annual portfolio level consolidated financial statements and other client bespoke and ad hoc reporting. Responsible for oversight of fund level and asset level reporting and coordination of client’s equity/loan contributions and distributions. Supports new business onboarding and initiatives.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITY AND TASK

Fund finance operation and administration

  • Leading and oversight a team to perform the following activities:

  • Fulfill client’s reporting requirements (monthly, quarterly, annually)

  • Preparation of the investment entities’ reporting, fund’s investor report and fund’s NAV calculation

  • Conduct consolidation of IFRS/INREV based financial statements.

  • Conduct reconciliation of local GAAP to IFRS e.g. PRC GAAP, J GAAP

  • Prepare the fund’s performance return calculation and bespoke report

  • Provide hands on operational support to clients for funds’ acquisitions/dispositions, covering investment jurisdiction in Asia, including Japan, China, Australia, Korea Singapore and Hong Kong

  • Coordination with client’s auditor, corporate secretary, and all other counterparties internally and externally to provide full administrative support function to client. Maintain and create strategic relationships with other external service providers.

Client servicing

  • Day to day multiple clients management and communication with client’s key personnel

  • Operational lead person, manage client’s relationship and clients’ financials, including the KPI management and monitors products profitability

  • Troubleshoots escalated issues and ensures clients’ requests are handled timely, accurately and with a focus on customer service. Creates a positive client’s experience by opening and maintaining constructive and reliable lines of communication

People management

  • Supervise, train and coach staff to attain highest level of efficient and effectiveness

  • Responsible for the team’s appraisals

  • Team resources planning

Business/Product Development, Internal control/risk management

  • Support team’s business growth by participate in discussion and preparation of new business proposals/pricing

  • “Doers” during the client onboarding process.

  • Involving in the team’s billing and budgeting progress

  • Participate in system implementation/enhancement, coordinate within the different internal teams for the testing and escalate issues.

  • Coordinate the SOC 1 audit for APAC/EMEA perspective.

  • Take the lead on driving process improvement in the team.

  • Work on projects or other global initiates.

SKILLS and KNOWLEDGE

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related discipline

  • Certified public accountant in relevant jurisdiction

  • At least 10 years of relevant professional experience with at least 5 years’ of supervision experience.

  • Prior experience in accounting for Real Estate Fund/fund admin or relevant experience in real estate investment firm with international setting

  • Good computer skills, including knowledge of MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, etc)

  • Experience with Yardi is a plus

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in both English and Chinese (Mandarin)
